According to opinion surveys conducted by the West Bank-based Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, “66% of Palestinians give a positive evaluation to the status of democracy and human rights in Israel.*”

All Israelis – Jews, Muslims, Christians, and Druze– enjoy Israel’s vibrant democracy. Alone in the Middle East, Israel offers its citizens freedoms of speech, religion, and press, women’s rights, gay rights, free, open, and contested elections, property rights, and a working justice system.
