I Love Israel!
Poster HomeThe fine print says: “While adjusting to life in modern Israel can be difficult, I have high hopes for a better life for my children. I encourage them to study hard, find good jobs, join the army and contribute to our beloved country. We live in Kiryat Malachi, a town of 20,000, that is home to more than 2,000 immigrants from Ethiopia. The town was founded in 1951 to replace a “tent city” housing Jewish refugees from Muslim countries. Today, refugees and the children of refugees who live in this desert town are making great strides. Perhaps one of my children isn’t far behind.”

— Since 1948, thousands of Ethiopian Jewish families have risked their lives and financial security to walk for days and weeks through the wilderness to make it to Israel. —
