Women in the Israel Defense Forces

Our documentary examines how the role of women in the Israeli Defense Force reflects the egalitarian-based society in Israel. In writing, directing, filming, and coordinating this documentary, we connected with a vast range of Israeli soldiers — women, men, Ethiopians, Israelis, young, old — who all shared a passion and pride to defend Israel.

Since our documentary specifically focuses on gender discrepancies in the Israeli Defense Force, we had the privilege of interacting with a variety of women who have served or are currently enlisted. Although Israeli woman has her own story, they will all serve, will be treated equal to men, and return as true Israelis.
